Synopsis
Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine, is in the midst of war. Amid relentless bombardment, a young girl named Sonya seeks refuge in Arsenalna Station, the deepest subway station in Europe. Deep underground, far from the sounds of war, the story of Sonya and her teddy bear, Masha, begins. A story of fear and hope seen through the eyes of a child in wartime.

Yi Jae-jun is an animation filmmaker exploring new cinematic languages through the combination of AI and animation. His directorial debut, Masha, portrays fear and hope through the eyes of a child during wartime. As an FX TD, he worked at Pixar Animation Studios, The Mill, and Blur Studio, contributing to feature animation projects including Toy Story 5, Inside Out 2, Elio, and Elemental, as well as commercials and game cinematics. His technical paper, Multi-Layered RBD Simulation, was selected for the SIGGRAPH 2026 Posters Program.
