Synopsis
On a planet of baldness, love exists in a surreal form: humanity’s soulmates are wigs. Li Pu, a man masking his insecurity under a hat, falls for 'Monica,' a wig worn by a gala host. He steals Monica, embarking on a life together that is as tender as it is absurd. Just as Li Pu prepares to 'propose,' he is chased by the authorities. In the chaos, Monica is swept into the street and crushed by traffic. As he cradles the remains, a billboard above flashes: "Monica-001: The World’s First AI Wig Companion." He realizes his 'soulmate' was merely a mass-produced prototype.

Liu Jiayuan is a Chinese director, screenwriter, and VFX/previs artist. She holds a B.Arch from South China University of Technology and an MFA in Film Production from USC. Her short Kintsugi was a Student Academy Awards semifinalist, and Monster in the Box screened at FIRST Xining Film Festival. Her feature Tropical Cyclone No. 9 received a Special Mention at SIFF Project Market. Since early 2026, she has been leveraging AI in filmmaking, with her work featured on Bilibili and TikTok. She is now pushing AI's boundaries to explore more experimental creative possibilities.

Li Mobai currently serves as concept design director. He graduated from Nanjing University of the Arts with a degree in Animation Art. Deeply engaged in the field of film pre-production creativity and visual development, he specializes in world-building, concept design, and visual system construction. He is passionate about transforming imaginative ideas into compelling cinematic visual language.
